First Post!

The proposal has been made, the ring has been presented, and now it is time for the fun stuff! Austin and I have been engaged since March, and we have just set a date and settled on a venue. We will be gettin' hitched November 13, 2010 at Hotel Galvez on Galveston Island, and I don't think we could be more excited about the wedding being less than a year away.

One of the reasons we're starting a blog is to answer the most often asked question to both of us- How is the wedding planning going? Since it is a little difficult to describe everything we're doing in detail to each person who asks, we thought this might just be a good resource to keep our dearest friends and relatives in the loop on the ups, downs, and diagonals of the planning process.

This will be a resource for the basic information such as dates, maps, info on room blocks, directions, and we will also post about the more detailed projects. I'm planning on making this wedding my crafty masterpiece, so there will be lots of pictures of works in progress from invitations to centerpieces. The only thing you won't find on here- a picture of "The Dress". Some wedding mysteries must remain ;-)

The posts might come slowly in the beginning (hey, I still have two more CPA exams to go...), but as the days get closer there will be more and more to brag/bitch/gush about. Thanks for taking a look around!
